Baumalight CP572

The Baumalight CP572 Rotary Brush Cutter uses a compatible tractor's PTO to put a 72-inch cutting width to work in overgrown pastures, farm edges, and wooded property areas. Mounted on a Category 2 three-point hitch, this cutter combines a four-blade rotor with an open front and push bar that helps guide standing vegetation toward the cutting zone. Its 82-inch cutting path provides a broad working envelope for reclaiming ground and maintaining access without changing to a hydraulic skid steer attachment.

Four reversible 1/4-inch AR400 slasher blades slice through woody growth and reduce material through successive passes. Baumalight publishes a 4-inch maximum felling diameter and a 2-inch maximum mulching diameter for the CP572, so cutting down material and reducing it to a finer finish should be treated as separate tasks. Blade condition, travel speed, vegetation density, and available tractor power all affect the result. The rotor uses a substantial 3/4-inch top plate and 3/8-inch bottom plate to support the four-way blade assembly.

A bevel gearbox transfers PTO power to the cutting rotor, with a 4-disc clutch providing over-torque protection. The heavy-duty output shaft shield helps protect the driveline from contact with cut material, while the rear chain curtain reduces debris discharge. A 1/4-inch steel deck and powder-coated finish provide a durable platform for regular outdoor clearing. Each new CP572 includes a replacement blade set, giving the owner service parts for keeping the cutter ready as the original edges wear.

Baumalight lists a 5,000 lb minimum tractor weight requirement, a maximum engine rating of 85 HP, and a maximum PTO rating of 75 HP for this model. Check the tractor's hitch capacity, driveline fit, and stability against the 1,900-lb cutter, and note that the attachment is not quick-hitch compatible. The optional D005723 tail wheel is available separately for deck support and cutting-height control. Follow the operator's manual when connecting the PTO, setting clutch protection, and establishing a safe operating area around the cutter.

Baumalight CP572

• Working Width for Your Carrier – The 72-inch cutting width gives the CP572 a defined swath for managing overgrown ground. Match the working envelope to access, terrain, and the carrier's ability to position the attachment.

• Tractor PTO Power – PTO drive uses the tractor's available power through a bevel gearbox, with 4-disc clutch protection supporting the driveline. Confirm the tractor and PTO ratings together before choosing the cutter.

• Serviceable Cutting Edges – The 4-blade rotor uses reversible, replaceable cutting edges for scheduled service. A free replacement blade set is included with a new cutter, giving you practical support for maintaining blade condition.

• Construction for Brush Work – The 1/4" steel deck forms a durable base for the cutting assembly. Protected driveline components support regular outdoor vegetation management.

• Controlled Brush Entry – The open front and push bar help position standing growth in the cutting zone. This layout supports deliberate clearing passes and management of woody vegetation within the model’s limits.

• Clear Installation Requirements – Category 2 hitch fit, PTO connection, clutch setting, and tractor stability can be checked together before field use. The optional tail wheel is available separately and the attachment is not quick-hitch compatible.

Baumalight Brush Cutting & Support

Baumalight CP572

ENGINEERED FOR POWER:

  • Tractor PTO drive powers a four-blade rotor across a 72-inch cutting width for practical vegetation management.
  • Reversible 1/4-inch AR400 slasher blades provide a durable cutting edge that can be serviced as it wears.
  • Cutting limits distinguish 4-inch maximum felling from 2-inch maximum mulching, with actual results dependent on tractor power and material.
  • Bevel gearbox transfers PTO input to the rotor and supports the final-drive assembly during clearing work.
  • 4-disc clutch provides over-torque protection for the tractor-driven cutter and must be set according to the operator's manual.

BUILT FOR PRECISION:

  • Open front and push bar help guide thick standing vegetation toward the cutting zone.
  • Four-way rotor uses a 3/4-inch top plate and 3/8-inch bottom plate to support the blade assembly.
  • Rear chain curtain helps reduce discharge of debris as material passes through the cutter.
  • Heavy-duty output shaft shield helps protect the driveline from impacts and cut vegetation.
  • A 1/4-inch steel deck creates a solid working platform, with a 2.5-inch lowest cutting height.

READY FOR THE FIELD:

  • Category 2 three-point hitch is designed for a compatible tractor; this cutter is not quick-hitch compatible.
  • Tractor requirements include 5,000 lb minimum, maximum 85 HP engine power, and maximum 75 HP PTO power.
  • The 1,900-lb attachment requires checks for tractor hitch capacity, driveline fit, ballast, and stability.
  • New cutter includes a free replacement blade set, while powder-coated surfaces support regular outdoor maintenance work.
  • Optional D005723 tail wheel is sold separately and can support deck control when matched to the clearing task.
