Baumalight RC780

The Baumalight RC780 Contractor Series hydraulic auger drive is built for larger skid steers and excavators that need higher flow, higher torque, and heavy-duty drilling performance. It is suited to professional post-hole drilling, tree planting, stump planing, and difficult ground conditions.

The RC780 uses a heavy-duty planetary drive with a 5:1 gear ratio and 2-inch hex output. A 1½-inch pivot pin with brass bushings and reinforced contractor frame provide the strength needed for larger carriers and demanding daily work.

Hydraulic requirements are 20–40 GPM with up to 45 GPM maximum. Baumalight publishes performance data from 2,000 to 3,500 PSI, with torque reaching roughly 4,000 ft-lb in the upper pressure range.

The RC780 is rated for skid steers from 3,000 to 12,000 lb and excavators from 4,000 to 30,000 lb. Its heavier 460 lb drive-only weight and broader hydraulic appetite make it the high-capacity option in Baumalight’s current core auger-drive lineup.
