MOST IMPORTANT FEATURES

PLANETARY SPLITTING POWER

THE HYDRAULIC PLANETARY DRIVE TRANSFERS CARRIER POWER TO THE ROTATING CONE, PROVIDING A PRACTICAL WAY TO BREAK DOWN LOGS WITH CONTROLLED POSITIONING FROM A COMPATIBLE MACHINE.

COMPLETE CONE PACKAGE

THE LISTED PACKAGE INCLUDES THE RSS380 DRIVE AND COMPLETE D002507 CONE ASSEMBLY, WITH A 14-INCH LENGTH AND 8-INCH DIAMETER FOR PROGRESSIVE LOG SPLITTING.

REPLACEABLE HARDENED TIP

THE HARDENED ENTRY TIP STARTS THE CONE INTO THE WOOD AND CAN BE REPLACED AS IT WEARS, HELPING KEEP THE SPLITTING ASSEMBLY SERVICEABLE OVER REPEATED USE.

PROTECTED DRIVE CONSTRUCTION

THE HEAVY-DUTY ENCASEMENT, POWDER-COATED FINISH, AND PROTECTIVE SHAFT FLANGE HELP THE ATTACHMENT WITHSTAND OUTDOOR WORK WHILE SHIELDING THE MAIN SHAFT SEAL FROM WOOD DEBRIS.

SKID STEER CONNECTION

THE SKID STEER MOUNTING PLATE AND INCLUDED HYDRAULIC HOSES SIMPLIFY SETUP ON A COMPATIBLE CARRIER. CONFIRM COUPLERS, FLOW, PRESSURE, AND CASE-DRAIN REQUIREMENTS BEFORE STARTING WORK.

Baumalight RSS380

The Baumalight RSS380 Log Splitter turns a compatible skid steer into a practical tool for breaking down logs and bulky woody material. Its hydraulically powered planetary drive delivers rotational force to a 14-inch-long, 8-inch-diameter splitting cone, allowing the operator to approach material horizontally or vertically as the work area permits. This package includes the RSS380 drive and the complete D002507 splitting cone assembly, so the listed price covers both essential components.

Two helical spirals guide the cone into the wood, starting at a hardened, replaceable entry tip. Rather than relying on a conventional cylinder and wedge, the rotating cone opens the log as it advances. The 2-inch hex connection securely couples the cone to the drive, while a protective flange helps shield the main shaft seal from debris. The heavy-duty drive encasement and powder-coated finish support repeated work in outdoor log-processing environments.

Match the RSS380 to a carrier supplying a recommended 20–40 GPM at 2,500–3,000 PSI; the maximum limits are 45 GPM and 3,500 PSI. A case drain is recommended below 3,000 PSI and required at 3,000 PSI and above. The skid steer mounting plate and included hydraulic hoses simplify attachment setup, while carrier connections and hydraulic compatibility must be verified before use. No separate 12-volt electrical supply is required.

Built for farms, contractors, and property-maintenance crews, the RSS380 helps reduce large pieces of wood before further handling or processing. The skid steer mounting arrangement keeps the splitter readily accessible for controlled positioning from the cab, subject to the carrier's operating limits and operator's manual. Compatible optional tools can extend the drive's usefulness, but are purchased separately. Splitting results depend on wood species, grain, moisture, and carrier performance; match the carrier to the required mounting and hydraulic specifications.

Baumalight RSS380

• Complete Drive and Cone – The package includes the model-specific drive and complete splitting cone assembly, making the supplied components and purchase price clear.

• Progressive Cone Engagement – Two helical spirals advance the splitting cone into the log, with a hardened entry tip that can be replaced as wear develops.

• Hydraulic Planetary Power – The carrier's hydraulics power a planetary drive with a 2-inch hex connection, without requiring a separate 12-volt electrical supply.

• Flexible Log Approach – The attachment can engage wood horizontally or vertically, helping operators select a controlled approach for the material and work area.

• Drive Protection – A heavy-duty encasement, protective shaft flange, and powder-coated finish help support service life in outdoor log-processing work.

• Familiar Skid Steer Setup – The skid steer plate and included hoses simplify connection; verify carrier couplers, hydraulic settings, and case-drain arrangements before use.
