Baumalight GXM350

The Baumalight GXM350 is a compact, high-efficiency stump grinder engineered for 1.5–4 ton excavators requiring strong hydraulic cutting performance in tight, residential, or utility-focused environments. Designed to operate on 8–40 GPM of hydraulic flow, the GXM350 transforms small-excavator output into fast, controlled stump removal through its high-speed cutting system and lightweight, responsive rotor design.

The GXM350 features 24 round carbide teeth, providing twice the tooth count of larger models to deliver smoother chip progression and finer mulch output. Each tooth can be rotated up to three times to expose a fresh cutting edge, maximizing field longevity and minimizing maintenance downtime. The concave carbide profile produces a clean shearing action that chips material quickly while reducing cutting load and rotor strain.

At the heart of the machine is a 16" solid rotor, powered by a compact bent-axis piston motor—a hydraulic design known for high efficiency, strong torque density, and rapid response under variable load. The rotor is built from 0.5" thick steel for optimal stiffness and momentum without adding unnecessary weight, ensuring smooth grinding performance while maintaining the agility required for small excavators.

An oversized blast shield equipped with dual rows of chain curtains provides excellent debris control, improving visibility and safety when grinding in confined areas.

In real-world performance, a GXM350 equipped with an X508-equivalent motor at 3,000 PSI can grind a 24" stump in approximately 25 minutes at 12 GPM. Increasing pressure to 4,000 PSI reduces the time to 20 minutes, and pushing flow toward 15 GPM further accelerates production. This makes the GXM350 a strong performer for contractors, landscapers, and operators needing reliable stump-removal capability from a compact machine platform.

Built for residential clearing, municipal maintenance, trail systems, property cleanup, and light commercial land work, the GXM350 combines high tooth count, smooth rotor dynamics, and broad hydraulic compatibility to deliver dependable stump grinding where larger machines cannot maneuver.

Baumalight GXM350

  • High-Torque Hydraulic Drive – The bent-axis piston motor efficiently converts excavator hydraulic flow into strong cutting torque, delivering reliable performance through hardwood, root-dense stumps, and compacted soil on smaller machine platforms.
  • High-Tooth-Count Rotor – The 16" rotor paired with a 0.5" steel core and 24 carbide teeth provides smoother cutting action, fine mulch output, and stable chip ejection—ideal for residential and light commercial work.
  • Built for Compact Excavators – Engineered for 1.5–4 ton excavators with auxiliary hydraulic flow ranging from 8–40 GPM, ensuring broad compatibility across mini and utility digger fleets.
  • Steady Grinding Capability – Achieves approx. 25 minutes on a 24" stump at 3,000 PSI / 12 GPM, with faster performance at 4,000 PSI or higher flow rates, improving productivity on compact job sites.
