Baumalight TN236

The Baumalight TN236 Trencher for mini skid steers cuts trenches up to 36 inches deep with 4–6-inch chain widths. Built for irrigation, drainage, and utility-line installation projects, it gives property owners, landscapers, and contractors a defined digging envelope for laying new underground services. Select the chain width and tooth style that match your trenching application.

The direct drive hydraulic drive delivers power to the digging-chain sprocket without a separate roller-chain transmission. Chain torque reaches 6,703 lb-in at 3,000 PSI, supported by a 1:10 taper hardened shaft. Hydraulic relief provides over-torque protection, while cup tooth and mixed rock-and-cup tooth chain configurations let you match the cutting system to soil conditions.

A side auger moves excavated soil away from the cutting action and keeps it alongside the trench for backfilling. The included hinged crumb scraper bar sweeps loose material into the moving chain to help clear the trench bottom. A precision-machined solid steel nose runs on dual tapered roller bearings, with a protective washer, rubber seal, and accessible grease fitting supporting the nose assembly.

The TN236 operates with 7–18 GPM hydraulic flow and connects through the included standard mini skid steer plate. The recommended carrier weight range is 1,500–4,000 lb. A grease-cylinder chain tensioner lets you take up chain slack with a grease gun, keeping routine tension adjustment accessible between trenching jobs.

Baumalight TN236

36-inch trenching depth supports planned underground-line installation within the attachment’s working envelope.

Direct drive drive delivers hydraulic power directly to the chain sprocket without a separate roller-chain transmission.

4–6-inch chain widths and two tooth styles let crews match the digging configuration to the installation and soil.

The side auger keeps excavated spoil close enough for backfilling while clearing the cutting path.

The hinged crumb scraper bar helps move loose material out of the trench bottom.

Grease-gun tension adjustment and accessible nose lubrication support routine maintenance between jobs.

Baumalight TN236

ENGINEERED FOR POWER:

  • The direct drive hydraulic drive powers the digging-chain sprocket without a separate roller-chain transmission.
  • Chain torque reaches 6,703 lb-in at 3,000 PSI for driving the cutting teeth through the soil.
  • The 7–18 GPM hydraulic flow range defines the output needed from a suitable carrier.
  • A 1:10 taper hardened shaft supports the digging-chain drive assembly under trenching loads.
  • Hydraulic relief provides over-torque protection for the drive system during demanding digging conditions.

BUILT FOR PRECISION:

  • Up to 36 inches of trenching depth provides a defined digging envelope for underground service installation.
  • Choose 4–6-inch chain widths to match the trench opening to your pipe, cable, or drainage application.
  • The side auger moves soil clear of the digging action and leaves it alongside the trench for backfilling.
  • The hinged crumb scraper bar sweeps loose soil toward the chain to help clear the bottom of the trench.
  • Cup tooth and 50/50 rock-and-cup tooth configurations provide cutting options for different soil conditions.

READY FOR THE FIELD:

  • The solid steel nose is precision machined and supported by dual tapered roller bearings for trenching loads.
  • A protective washer and rubber bearing seal help shield the nose assembly from rocks, dirt, and moisture.
  • An accessible grease fitting provides a service point for lubricating the nose bearing assembly.
  • The grease-cylinder tensioner pushes the roller nose forward so chain slack can be adjusted with a grease gun.
  • The included standard mini skid steer plate provides the connection for a matching carrier within the attachment’s hydraulic and weight requirements.
