The Baumalight DSM230 Tree Saw gives mini skid steers a dedicated cutting tool for pruning limbs, clearing woody growth, and maintaining access around rural properties and work sites. Its 30-inch circular blade provides a cutting capacity of up to 10 inches, making it a practical way to cut trees and branches before moving or processing the material. The mounting plate brings the saw into the carrier's working reach for controlled positioning around vegetation.
This model uses a manually repositioned cutting head for horizontal cutting or vertical trimming. Head positioning is changed manually by loosening the mounting bolts, rotating the assembly, and securing it in the selected position. Replaceable carbide-tipped high-speed teeth chip through the wood, and each tooth can be repositioned to present one of three cutting edges. Six replacement teeth are included for future service.
The T508 bent-axis piston motor works within a 6–20 GPM hydraulic flow range, with a dedicated case-drain connection required. The mini skid steer package includes hydraulic hoses, standard couplers, and the case-drain connection. Carrier-specific adapter plates for nonstandard mini skid steer mounting systems are separate options. No auxiliary electrical connection is required for head positioning.
Heavy-duty bearing support carries the blade through repeated cutting, and the blade shield helps direct chips around the working head. Removable access panels keep routine servicing practical, while protected hydraulic hose routing reduces exposure to brush and moving components. A powder-coated finish supports regular outdoor work. The saw cuts above-ground material and leaves roots and the remaining stump in place. Use the carrier within its rated handling limits and follow the operator's manual for setup and field operation.
