Baumalight ST324

The Baumalight ST324 Tree Spade turns suitable skid steers into a controlled tree-transplanting system. Its 24-inch root ball diameter and 23-inch root ball depth give operators a defined digging envelope for lifting trees with soil around their roots. Designed for up to 2-inch evergreen trunks and 1.5-inch hardwood trunks, the ST324 fits nursery work, landscape renovation, and planned tree relocation.

3 hydraulically driven 1/4-inch mild steel blades cut into the soil and form the root ball for lifting. The semi-truncated profile shapes the bottom of the ball as the cylinders extend, while steel slides guide the blades through their working travel. The fixed frame keeps the attachment straightforward and compact for approaching smaller trees.

The included universal skid steer mounting plate connects the spade to a suitable carrier. The open layout gives the operator a useful view of the blades and the digging area. The digging system operates with 5–20 GPM and 2,900–4,000 PSI hydraulics.

Sleeved hoses protect the hydraulic lines, JIC fittings support service access, and the powder-coated body stands up to demanding outdoor work. Choose from the control packages shown in the options menu to suit your carrier and operating style. Wired and wireless packages use 12V power; AUX packages connect to the carrier’s electrical controls and use the matching connector configuration. The ST324 gives crews a practical combination of root ball control, accessible construction, and deliberate placement for repeatable transplanting work.

Baumalight ST324

24-inch root ball diameter gives crews a clear attachment size for transplant planning.

23-inch root ball depth defines the digging envelope beneath the tree.

1/4-inch mild steel provides a durable digging surface for repeated soil work.

Universal skid steer mount identifies the included carrier or transport configuration.

Fixed frame supports practical positioning and handling.

The ST324 combines defined trunk capacities with model-specific construction for nursery and landscape applications.

Baumalight ST324

ENGINEERED FOR POWER:

  • 3 hydraulically driven digging blades cut into the soil and form the root ball as the cylinders extend.
  • 1/4-inch mild steel blades provide a durable cutting surface for repeated soil penetration and root ball formation.
  • The 5–20 GPM hydraulic flow range identifies the carrier output required to operate the spade’s digging system.
  • The digging system operates at 2,900–4,000 PSI to drive the hydraulic cylinders through the blade cutting cycle.
  • A 24-inch root ball diameter defines the working size for lifting trees with soil around their roots.

BUILT FOR PRECISION:

  • A 23-inch root ball depth defines the digging envelope beneath the tree for controlled root ball lifting.
  • The 20-inch frame opening defines the available space for aligning the spade around the tree before digging.
  • The semi-truncated blade profile shapes the base of the root ball as the blades move into their digging position.
  • The fixed frame keeps the digging system compact for approaching smaller trees and aligning the blades with the root ball.
  • Steel slides guide the blades through their working travel as the hydraulic cylinders extend into the soil.

READY FOR THE FIELD:

  • Sleeved hydraulic hoses help protect the lines from abrasion as the attachment moves through digging and lifting cycles.
  • JIC hydraulic fittings provide accessible connection points for hose inspection, maintenance, and replacement.
  • The powder-coated finish protects the steel body during outdoor nursery, landscaping, and tree-moving work.
  • Integrated lifting eyes provide designated lifting points for handling the attachment during setup and storage.
  • The included universal skid steer mounting plate connects the spade to a suitable loader for digging and lifting trees.
