How does the system remove lead from the water?

The system uses catalytic coconut shell GAC, Eagle Redox Alloys®, anion exchange resin, and softener resin to oxidize and remove lead efficiently. The filtration media helps transform lead into a state that is easier to filter out.

What salt should I use for regeneration: potassium chloride or sodium chloride?

Both are effective, but potassium chloride is preferred if you want to avoid adding sodium to your water or plan to discharge backwash onto lawns or gardens. Sodium chloride is less expensive but cannot be used where runoff reaches plants.
