MOST IMPORTANT FEATURES

3-1/2-INCH BORE

THE HYDRAULIC CYLINDER HAS A 3-1/2-INCH BORE FOR THE MATCHING BACKHOE APPLICATION. BORE SIZE MUST CORRESPOND TO THE ORIGINAL ACTUATOR AND HYDRAULIC CIRCUIT.

20-INCH STROKE

A 20-INCH STROKE PROVIDES LINEAR TRAVEL FOR THE HOST BACKHOE MECHANISM. MATCH THE ORIGINAL CYLINDER TRAVEL TO PRESERVE THE INTENDED RANGE OF BUCKET MOVEMENT.

HYDRAULIC LINEAR ACTUATION

PRESSURIZED FLUID EXTENDS AND RETRACTS THE CYLINDER THROUGH ITS WORKING STROKE. THE ACTUATOR CONTROLS THE HOST LINKAGE RATHER THAN DRIVING A CONTINUOUS ROTATING MOTOR.

REPLACEMENT ACTUATOR

THE CYLINDER REPLACES THE ACTUATOR IN THE MATCHING LOFLIN BACKHOE ASSEMBLY. THE BACKHOE FRAME, WORKING BUCKET, AND MACHINE ARE SEPARATE EQUIPMENT.

HOST LINKAGE CONNECTION

THE CYLINDER CONNECTS TO THE EXISTING BACKHOE LINKAGE AND HYDRAULIC LINES. MATCH PIN GEOMETRY, HOSE CONNECTIONS, AND INSTALLED LENGTH BEFORE SERVICING THE ASSEMBLY.

Loflin Backhoe Hydraulic Cylinder

The Loflin Fabrication Backhoe Hydraulic Cylinder replaces the actuator on the matching Loflin backhoe attachment. Part 3520-WT-LF uses a 3-1/2-inch bore and 20-inch stroke.

The cylinder converts hydraulic pressure into the linear movement used by the backhoe mechanism. Correct stroke and mounting geometry preserve the working travel of the installed linkage.

Match the original part number, pin dimensions, hydraulic ports, and installed cylinder length before service. This listing is for the replacement cylinder only; the complete backhoe and bucket are sold separately.

Loflin Backhoe Hydraulic Cylinder

  • The hydraulic cylinder has a 3-1/2-inch bore for the matching backhoe application. Bore size must correspond to the original actuator and hydraulic circuit.
  • A 20-inch stroke provides linear travel for the host backhoe mechanism. Match the original cylinder travel to preserve the intended range of bucket movement.
  • Pressurized fluid extends and retracts the cylinder through its working stroke. The actuator controls the host linkage rather than driving a continuous rotating motor.
  • The cylinder replaces the actuator in the matching Loflin backhoe assembly. The backhoe frame, working bucket, and machine are separate equipment.
  • The cylinder connects to the existing backhoe linkage and hydraulic lines. Match pin geometry, hose connections, and installed length before servicing the assembly.
