MOST IMPORTANT FEATURES

40-INCH WORKING SPEAR

A 40-INCH MAIN SPEAR PENETRATES THE BALE FOR CONTROLLED HANDLING. THE WORKING LENGTH POSITIONS THE BALE ON THE ATTACHMENT AS THE CARRIER LIFTS AND TRANSPORTS IT.

4,500-POUND ATTACHMENT RATING

THE HAY SPEAR HAS A 4,500-POUND ATTACHMENT RATING. ACTUAL WORKING LOADS MUST ALSO STAY WITHIN THE CARRIER LIFT CAPACITY AT THE LOAD POSITION AND OPERATING HEIGHT.

3-INCH TUBULAR FRAME

THE FRAME IS CONSTRUCTED FROM 3-INCH SQUARE STEEL TUBING. ITS STRUCTURE CONNECTS THE WORKING SPEAR ARRANGEMENT TO THE LOADER MOUNT AND SUPPORTS THE BALE-HANDLING ASSEMBLY.

REPLACEABLE SPEAR COMPONENTS

THE WORKING SPEAR COMPONENTS ARE SERVICEABLE SEPARATELY FROM THE FRAME. MATCH REPLACEMENT PARTS TO THE ORIGINAL ASSEMBLY WHEN MAINTAINING THE BALE-HANDLING ATTACHMENT.

160-POUND ATTACHMENT

THE ATTACHMENT WEIGHS 160 POUNDS BEFORE A BALE IS LOADED. INCLUDE THE ATTACHMENT AND BALE TOGETHER WHEN EVALUATING THE LOADER HANDLING CAPACITY AND OPERATING BALANCE.

Loflin Hay Spear

The Loflin Fabrication Hay Spear For Skid Steers & Track Loaders handles bales for feeding, transport, trailer loading, and storage. A 40-inch main spear engages the bale for controlled lifting and placement.

The frame uses 3-inch square steel tubing to support the working spear arrangement. Replaceable spear components allow worn or damaged working parts to be serviced without replacing the complete attachment.

The attachment rating is 4,500 pounds, and the attachment weighs 160 pounds before loading. The allowable working load is limited by both the attachment rating and the carrier capacity at the actual load position.

Match the mounting interface to the loader, engage the bale securely, and travel with the load low. Use controlled movements when placing bales on trailers or in storage and follow the carrier operating procedures.

Loflin Hay Spear

  • A 40-inch main spear penetrates the bale for controlled handling. The working length positions the bale on the attachment as the carrier lifts and transports it.
  • The hay spear has a 4,500-pound attachment rating. Actual working loads must also stay within the carrier lift capacity at the load position and operating height.
  • The frame is constructed from 3-inch square steel tubing. Its structure connects the working spear arrangement to the loader mount and supports the bale-handling assembly.
  • The working spear components are serviceable separately from the frame. Match replacement parts to the original assembly when maintaining the bale-handling attachment.
  • The attachment weighs 160 pounds before a bale is loaded. Include the attachment and bale together when evaluating the loader handling capacity and operating balance.
