The Virnig Big Bale Grapple gathers round bales, loose hay, and other light agricultural materials with an open lower frame and a large hydraulic jaw. Its 73.4″ jaw opening provides room for bulky material, making it useful when the load needs to be gathered and held rather than supported on a narrow spear alone.

Half-inch Grade 80 steel tines form the lower support, while NitroSteel® cylinder rods and Teflon®-coated bushings equip the hydraulic pivots. The open arrangement supports the material without the solid floor of a bucket. Available model widths let the grapple be matched to the loader and the size of the bales or loose loads being handled.

The BG54, BG72, and BG84 models differ in width and attachment weight, so choose the complete configuration around the carrier's capacity. Virnig recommends a loader capacity greater than 2,400 lb for this family. Account for attachment weight and the bale's position when planning the lift, rather than treating the grapple opening as a lifting rating.
