A direct-drive Eaton motor powers three updraft blades that lift and recut vegetation under the deck. Hydraulic braking stops the flywheel within 10 seconds after shutdown, while the front chain curtain helps contain debris at the cutting opening. Replaceable front skid shoes provide serviceable contact surfaces as the deck moves across the ground.
